Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how GeoJibe collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the GeoJibe website, application, APIs, command-line tools, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create or manage a GeoJibe account, we may collect information such as:

  • Name;
  • Email address;
  • Account and organization information;
  • Login and authentication information;
  • Subscription or plan information; and
  • Account preferences.

Passwords are stored using secure password hashing methods rather than in readable form.

Data You Process Through GeoJibe

GeoJibe processes files, datasets, database records, geospatial information, and other content that you choose to upload, import, connect to, transform, synchronize, or deliver through the Service.

We refer to this information as “Customer Data.”

Customer Data remains your data. We process it to provide the functionality you request.

Connection Information

When you configure a source or destination, GeoJibe may process connection information such as:

  • Server or host names;
  • Database names;
  • Usernames;
  • API credentials;
  • Access tokens;
  • Cloud storage credentials;
  • Connection URLs; and
  • Other authentication or configuration information.

We use this information to establish and operate the connections you configure.

Where credentials must be retained for saved connections or scheduled operations, we take reasonable technical measures designed to protect them.

Usage and Technical Information

We may automatically collect technical information necessary to operate, secure, and improve GeoJibe, including:

  • IP address;
  • Browser and device information;
  • Login activity;
  • Application requests;
  • Job status and execution information;
  • Error and diagnostic information;
  • Security events; and
  • General feature usage information.

2. How We Use Information

We use information collected through GeoJibe to:

  • Provide and operate the Service;
  • Authenticate users and maintain accounts;
  • Process geospatial data at your request;
  • Run conversions, transformations, jobs, and synchronizations;
  • Connect to sources and destinations you configure;
  • Provide downloads and deliver data to configured destinations;
  • Send account, verification, security, job, and service notifications;
  • Process subscriptions and payments;
  • Provide customer support;
  • Diagnose errors and improve reliability;
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
  • Improve GeoJibe and develop new features; and
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. Customer Data

We do not claim ownership of Customer Data.

We do not sell Customer Data.

We do not use your private geospatial datasets for advertising.

We process Customer Data only as necessary to provide and support the Service, comply with your instructions, maintain security, and satisfy applicable legal requirements.

4. Temporary Processing and Storage

GeoJibe may create temporary files, intermediate datasets, previews, converted files, logs, and other processing artifacts while performing jobs.

These materials may be retained for a limited period as necessary to provide downloads, troubleshoot operations, maintain reliability, or operate features of the Service.

Data associated with saved sources, destinations, recipes, jobs, or other persistent features may remain stored while those features or your account remain active.

We may remove temporary or inactive data as part of normal system maintenance.

You should not use GeoJibe as your sole backup or permanent archival system unless a specific GeoJibe service expressly provides that functionality.

5. AI-Assisted Features

If you use an AI-assisted GeoJibe feature, information necessary to process your request may be provided to an AI service provider.

We limit the information sent to what is reasonably necessary to provide the requested feature.

You should avoid including confidential, personal, or sensitive information in AI prompts unless it is necessary for the task and you are authorized to provide it.

Where possible, GeoJibe's AI functionality is designed to generate instructions or configurations that can subsequently be executed deterministically rather than requiring repeated AI processing.

6. Service Providers

We may use third-party service providers to help operate GeoJibe, including providers of:

  • Cloud and server infrastructure;
  • Email delivery;
  • Payment processing;
  • Monitoring and security services;
  • Customer support tools; and
  • Artificial intelligence services.

These providers may process information on our behalf only as necessary to provide their services.

Payment card information may be collected and processed directly by our payment processor. GeoJibe does not need to store complete payment card numbers when payments are handled by an external payment provider.

7. Third-Party Connections

GeoJibe allows you to connect to third-party systems and services.

When you configure such a connection, information and Customer Data may be transferred between GeoJibe and that third party according to your instructions.

Third-party services have their own privacy practices and terms. This Privacy Policy does not govern information once it is independently processed by a third-party service outside our control.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

GeoJibe may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for:

  • Authentication;
  • Maintaining sessions;
  • Security;
  • Remembering preferences; and
  • Operating the Service.

If we use optional analytics, advertising, or other non-essential tracking technologies that require consent under applicable law, we will provide appropriate notice or consent controls.

9. How We Share Information

We may share information:

  • With service providers working on our behalf;
  • With third-party systems you instruct GeoJibe to connect to;
  • When required by law, court order, or valid legal process;
  • When reasonably necessary to protect the security, rights, or safety of GeoJibe, our users, or others;
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business; or
  • With your consent or at your direction.

We do not sell your personal information.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction.

No internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

You are also responsible for protecting your account credentials, access tokens, API keys, and credentials for systems connected to GeoJibe.

11. Data Retention

We retain account information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain business and security records, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.

Customer Data and processing artifacts may have different retention periods depending on how the Service is used.

We may retain limited logs, transaction records, security records, and backup copies after account deletion where reasonably necessary for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, or operational purposes.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including the right to:

  • Request access to personal information we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate information;
  • Request deletion of certain personal information;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing;
  • Request a portable copy of certain information; or
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

These rights may be subject to exceptions under applicable law.

To make a privacy request, contact us using the information below.

We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

13. International Data Transfers

GeoJibe and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live.

Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.

14. Children's Privacy

GeoJibe is intended for business and professional use and is not directed to children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the minimum age required to consent to online services in their jurisdiction.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to GeoJibe without appropriate authorization, please contact us.

15. Business and On-Site Deployments

Certain GeoJibe editions may be operated in dedicated or customer-controlled environments.

For customer-hosted or on-site deployments, the customer operating the deployment may control the information processed through that installation. In those circumstances, the customer's own privacy policies and data-processing practices may also apply.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date. If changes materially affect how we process personal information, we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
