Mergin Maps

Mergin Maps in GeoJibe is for synchronizing a project GeoPackage with PostGIS.

It is not a Convert Source. Do not expect to use Mergin Maps with Download or GeoServer.

Mergin Maps is not a copy of QFieldCloud. Read this page even if you already use QFieldCloud.

What you set up

  1. A saved Mergin Maps Source
  2. A Sync Job with project + GeoPackage
  3. PostGIS schema
  4. One-way () or two-way ()
  5. Interval schedule

Full steps: Sync Mergin Maps with PostGIS.

One-way and two-way

Mergin Maps → PostGIS pulls field edits into the database. Unchanged project versions can end as Succeeded — No changes.

Mergin Maps ⇄ PostGIS is advanced two-way sync. GeoJibe runs a full sync cycle each time, so you will not see “No changes” for that mode. It also uses a {schema}_base schema beside the destination schema.

QFieldCloud cannot use two-way.

Projects you will see

Listing includes projects you created and projects shared with you — not arbitrary public projects.

When it is hidden

If Mergin Maps sync is turned off on the server, the Source type does not appear (ENCIVA_MERGIN_SYNC_ENABLED).
